African Cultural Center to Mark 1st Anniversary
June 23, 2007
The African Cultural Center in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province, will hold a special event on June 27 to celebrate its one-year anniversary, inviting experts on Africa such as African ambassadors and the public to the center.
“We will offer free admission for anyone on that day, and they will enjoy a variety of exhibits and African dance performances,’’ Tae Cheon-man, president of the center, told The Korea Times.
The center, which is the only African center in Korea, acts as a bridge between African and Korea with its museum, a dance performance hall, a shopping mall and a restaurant.
The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. everyday, and traditional African dance performances are held three times a day except Monday.
For more information, call the center at (031) 543-3600 or visit its Web site at www.africaculturalcenter.com.
