More on the Gangnam Hooters
August 23, 2007
I dropped by the Gangnam Hooters again last night, and I must say, I had a much better experience than last time.
It seems pretty much everything has improved, and I even chatted briefly with the General Manager, who hails from South Carolina, USA. Super nice guy with interesting stories about opening Hooters stores in China before coming to Korea.
It was also the first time for me to sample the Hooters Philly Cheesesteak, and the appetizer nachos. Both were much more generous portions than expected. Those nachos are easily the best value on the menu.
My friend even talked his way into a free beer for participating in a game, in spite of losing (he hammed it up for the camera that was there recording, even re-enacting his loss because they missed the shot)
Tip: Just pay the extra 700 won to get guacamole for your nachos. The scoops are very generous, considering the cost of guacamole in Korea. I would estimate about two ice cream scoops-worth.

Note: The Gangnam Hooters can be reached via Exit 3 of Gangnam station. It’s a 5-10 minut walk from there though. Not the best of locations…
