Czech beer Budvar to hit the markets soon!

After a private tour of the Budvar plant in the Czech Republic a few years ago, this writer has been an avid fan of their brand. I was so entralled with the product, that i even explored the possibility of importing it upon my return to Korea. I recieved a few boxes of the product through the mail–needless to say, the exporting/sales manager i was dealing with either A) Died B) Was Fired or C) Flaked out…we were in constant communication for a few weeks, and then silence! Nothing. Very strange.

Anyways…at a Czech it out event last week at the Grand Intercontinental Hotel, i was pleasantly surprised when i had a bottle of Budvar placed in front of me over my dinner of traditional Czech cuisine. I quickly downed the bottle, and noticed Korean writing on the back–yes, it is now being imported into Korea!

I’m still trying to find out where it’s available, but it appears that this is a brand new venture.
