Rolling Stones tribute for a cause

April 29, 2008

Adam of The 40 days sent us an e-mail update about their show on May 3rd in Hongdae. Check it out:

Saturday, May 3rd at Club Freebird in Hongdae there’s a benefit for the Kyeong Saeng Won orphanage. The orphange is out near Jamsil, and mainly houses older kids who are not really candidates for adoption anymore. Right now there are 57 kids who call it home. The money raised at this show will go toward buying bikes for those kids.
Five bands, all playing the music of the Rolling Stones as well as some of their own. The show starts at 10pm. There’s also a raffle with some great prizes. And big thanks to our friends at the Wolfhound for their help!
Map and poster attached.

Love,
The Forty Days

Elyse Sewell Joins the Korea Blogosphere

April 23, 2008

Elyse SewellOkay, so I’m pretty sure I haven’t seen anyone write about this on any of the Korea blogs yet, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened because I’m not up to date at all on my American TV (finally getting caught up on The Wire, but it’s almost to the end). Still, I think I would have caught wind of some famous someone relocating to Korea, especially if they picked up the habit of blogging about the country. (photo found on elysesewell.org)
