Elyse Sewell Joins the Korea Blogosphere

Okay, so I’m pretty sure I haven’t seen anyone write about this on any of the Korea blogs yet, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened because I’m not up to date at all on my American TV (finally getting caught up on The Wire, but it’s almost to the end). Still, I think I would have caught wind of some famous someone relocating to Korea, especially if they picked up the habit of blogging about the country. (photo found on elysesewell.org)

So, thanks to Serious Eats, I saw today that Elyse Sewell (of the show America’s Next Top Model) has been working as a model and blogging about her experience. The point is that people all over the world are following her adventures (like eating Boshintang), bringing more exposure to Korea, Expat life in Korea, blogging, etc, etc. It might be interesting to follow the life of a famous westerner living in Korea. I plan to come back and read it again.

…Okay, I admit it. I already spent an hour reading through old entries. It’s pretty interesting stuff reading about a famous person writing from the same “I just moved to Korea and am blogging about it for my friends” perspective that so many of us started out with. I don’t know how long she’ll be in Korea, but I’m very interested to see how her thoughts on life in Korea develop.
