Seoul Friendship Fair 2008
May 6, 2008
IMO, this Saturday’s Friendship Fair is THE best event the city of Seoul puts on each year. What could be wrong with sitting on a patch of grass, eating foods from around the world, washing it down with a few international brews, and watching some live performances.
You can bet that i will be there…
Last year’s turnout was quite impressive…Tons of Expats, Tons of locals…all made for a good afternoon out.
Bring cash for food and also some souvenirs. Get to the food tents early because when it’s gone, it’s gone. We made a run on the Czech Republic’s beer supplies last year and ended up drinking the tent dry. Don’t forget your picnic blanket either!
Festivities are held at the Seoul Plaza (green grassy area in front of Seoul City Hall). They start at 10am and last until 7pm…

Rolling Stones tribute for a cause
April 29, 2008
Adam of The 40 days sent us an e-mail update about their show on May 3rd in Hongdae. Check it out:
Saturday, May 3rd at Club Freebird in Hongdae there’s a benefit for the Kyeong Saeng Won orphanage. The orphange is out near Jamsil, and mainly houses older kids who are not really candidates for adoption anymore. Right now there are 57 kids who call it home. The money raised at this show will go toward buying bikes for those kids.
Five bands, all playing the music of the Rolling Stones as well as some of their own. The show starts at 10pm. There’s also a raffle with some great prizes. And big thanks to our friends at the Wolfhound for their help!
