Surfin’ R-O-K!

July 22, 2007

Blue Crush

Last night I came home exhausted about 12:30am.

Muscles sore, skin sunburned, head aching. I didn’t wake up until almost noon today.

Why?

I spent the day in Busan with the Seoul Boardriders Surfing Club.

You heard me right: surfing …In Korea.

Travel Tickets with Zuji.com

July 20, 2007

During my preparation for my upcoming trip to Kota Kinabalu, i stumbled upon the website, Zuji.com  It is an Asia/Pacific Oceania based website that focuses on travel from/between the area.  Now, although the Zuji Korea site is in Korean, i think the Singapore/HK sites still offer the same great deals on hotel, flight ticket, car rental.

Now, i’m no guru, but i still think it’s important to double check on the respective carrier’s website to compare the fares.

Still, regardless…Zuji.com looks to be a very useful travel website for Expats in Asia.

FOR SALE: Daelim 125cc Motorcycle

July 6, 2007

The rainy season’s nearly over! Enjoy the rest of the summer and Korea’s amazing autumn on your own Motorcycle!

Vital Stats:

Model: Daelim 125cc
Papers: yes
Year: 1997
Asking Price: 600,000 EDIT: 500k

I bought this motorcycle well over a year ago with the intention to learn how to ride. Unfortunately, I never got around to learning and so now it’s a year later and I have this motorcycle I never learned to ride.

I haven’t started it up as much as I should, and it’s been rained on a few times, but over the past month I’ve been pouring a lot of TLC into it, not to mention some cash, to get it up to par for a new owner.

It does have a dent in the gas tank and some scratches on the front from when I scraped a stone wall and put it down the first time I ever rode it (and ended up on crutches for a month…).

I don’t want to post my phone number online, but if you leave a comment with your email, I will get in touch shortly. I live near Kyodae station.

Bonuses:

Highway atlas of Korea
Highway atlas of Seoul and surrounding areas
Two helmets (one full face, though it needs a new visor, and one of the other kind. The other one is kind of old though. It would be a good back-up).
Cheap piece of plastic I cover it with, if you really want it…
Meet Skinny Steve in person! Woohoo!

Edit: Too many spam comments, so I’m turning them off. If you’re interested, email me: skinny AT SeoulSteves DOT com.

Seoul Boardriders

June 21, 2007

At this point, I don’t remember how I heard about these guys, but I got in touch with them last week about trips to Busan to learn how to surf. That’s right: SURFING in Korea.

I added their Busan event for June 30th to the Calendar. You’ll probably need to book your KTX tickets SOON if you’re gonna do it though. It sounds like a good time. In fact, you might just see me there. I’m the dude named Steve.

Shark diving!

May 31, 2007

Okay, this one isn’t exactly a Seoul activity, but I think it would be worth the trip to the Busan aquarium: Shark diving!

Scuba in Korea

I’m adding it to the calendar for this weekend, but I hope there will be later events because I want to do it!!!
